Key To School is a non-profit project managed by a group of Moodlers who want to spread the joy of Moodling. While searching Moodle forums for troubleshooting our own installations, we noticed that many first-time Moodlers were unable to start their own sites quickly because of the learning curve required for being comfortable with the server software. Also, many hosting providers impose restrictions which make the experience sub-optimal for the more courageous ones besides taking away the aspiring e-educator from her preferred domain - teaching.
Key To School aims at providing professional quality managed hosting for the discerning Moodler for free. This is everything we wanted from a Moodle hosting when we started Moodling half a decade back and there is nothing less that we want to give back to the Moodle community. So bear with us while we describe our dream come true :)
We don't put impractical restrictions on number of students and server resources and are happy to see you grow into a mature setup.
Key To School is supported by donations and has an ad-free policy so that the learning experience of your students is not hindered by distracting ads.
We know that a thing of beauty is a joy forever and you can choose from a gallery of dozens of world-class themes to set up your Moodle with the look and feel of your choice. Not only that, you can choose themes which allow you to brand them with your logo.
While providing you with a full-fledged moodle experience, we encourage you to develop your own branding by letting you host with your own domain while using the space and bandwidth resources of Key To School.
You have the full freedom to charge from your students for the Moodle installations being hosted by Key To School.
